I'm sure I'm not the only planet maintainer who occasionally gets mails
saying "rararara your planet has broken a standard" only to find that
that's because one of the contributors didn't close a tag, didn't escape
an ampersand or used entities in an entry title. (I even have a
LinuxChix vigilante now who goes off and tells off the contributors
themselves!) Or else you at least get yucky pages because someone posted
a quiz result that doesn't close a <b> tag or something.
I'm not sure the extent to which this could be solved in software, but
some possibilities are:
- running entries through some kind of HTML corrector
- replacing entries that don't validate with a link to the entry and a
plain text excerpt
This is pretty low priority compared to, say, reducing planet resource
usage, but it might be a good feature for the future.
