Did you edit the config.ini to put in some real feeds? IIRC the feeds
in the sample are old and smelly, producing redirects or 404s these
days. If you want to follow the redirects you need to apply the fix in
the second of those mails:

...but you should first just set up your config.ini to point at a
single, active feed (like http://planet.gnome.org/rss20.xml , say).

BTW it'd be nice if the default feeds were changed to something like
(say) phil ringalda's atom test feeds.
